Massillon City School District Curriculum
Department to Hold Professional Development Opportunity
The Massillon City School District's Curriculum Department will hold
an after-school professional development opportunity for teachers and staff on
March 31 from 4:30-6 p.m. The session will be held in room 3 in the
Administrative Offices.
The session will
focus on English Language Arts and the use of the PARCC website.
Bernetta Snell, PARCC
ELA Leader, will walk participants through the PARCC website, especially in
terms of assessment for ELA grades 3-11. This will be a hands-on session, which
will allow participants to explore the PARCC website, review the sample items,
ask questions and develop a deeper understanding of the Next Generation
assessments. Participants are asked to bring their own laptops. The flyer for this PD Session can be accessed clicking here.
The Massillon City
School District will administer the English Language Arts & Math PARCC
field tests this Spring in Grades 3-11 in select classes. For more information
